Be Your Authentic Self
We aren't looking for a "perfect" student; we are looking for the real you. Don't be afraid to share your unique hobbies, challenges you've faced, or what you are truly passionate about.
Think Locally
Familiarize yourself with a few things happening in Fayette County. You don't need to be an expert, but having an opinion on community needs shows us you’re ready to lead.
The "Why"
Be ready to explain why you want to be in the program. How will this help you grow, and what can you contribute to the rest of the group?
Ask Questions
An interview is a two-way street. Prepare one or two questions for the selection committee about their experiences or what they hope the Class of 2027 will achieve.
Professionalism Matters
While we want you to be comfortable, remember that this is a professional program. Dress in "business casual" attire and be mindful of your interview time—promptness is a key leadership trait!
Power of Examples
When we ask a question, try to answer with a "mini-story." Instead of just saying you are a good problem solver, tell us about a specific time you helped a teammate or fixed a problem at school. Real-life examples make your interview memorable and show us your leadership in action.
