Who We Are
Leadership Fayette County (LFC) is a FREE program for selected high school juniors across Fayette County. The purpose of the program is to promote essential leadership qualities in the students while providing firsthand experiences in the business, government, and tourism sectors of Fayette County, West Virginia.

What We Do
LFC connects students across Fayette County with the community, and with each other. The program focuses on developing leaderships skills through professional interactions, project-based problem solving, public speaking enhancement, and up-close insights into county government.

Program Structure
& Selection
The program selects a total of 12 to 14 students from across Fayette County annually. The selection process guarantees that each high school is represented by at least one student during the year-long series of sessions. Sessions include networking with local professionals, business owners, managers, and government officials. Programming is geared to provide the information and tools needed to enable them to make the choice to return to Fayette County to live, work, and play upon completion of their higher education. Those who successfully complete the program are awarded a $1000 scholarship to the school/training of their choice.
